Soldier Meadows

Dating back to 1865 when it was known as Camp McGarry, this historic cattle ranch lies in the Black Rock Desert about three hours north of Reno, Nevada and 60 miles beyond Bruno's Country Club in Gerlach, Nevada. Soldier Meadows is a family owned working cattle ranch with over 500,000 acres of public and private land to enjoy. We are one of the largest and remotest guest ranches in the nation. Due to the beautiful, wide open spaces, natural resources, and historic values our area was recently named the Black Rock Desert/High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails National Conservation Area. The rich history and natural resources of the area captured the attention of lawmakers in Washington and they decided that over 1.2 million acres needed to be preserved and set aside.
