F. M. Hall House

F. M. Hall House

One of Lincoln's longtime residential landmarks, the F. M. Hall House was the scene of many society teas and social gatherings in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Designed in the Queen Anne Victorian style, the original house was built in 1884 by Lincoln banker, Richard Outcalt. Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Hall purchased the home in 1894 and under their stewardship the house was expanded several times. Additions included a large wraparound porch on the southeast, a sun porch east of the dining room and a three-story addition on the north that included a large kitchen on the first floor. The Halls also added a brick gazebo with fountain and lily pond and an iron fence around the property.
