A J.J. Shaw House Bed & Breakfast Inn

A J.J. Shaw House Bed & Breakfast Inn

This truly distinctive Queen Anne Victorian was built in 1907 by Mr. John James Shaw for his family. Mr. Shaw was the proprietor of the Hawkeye Lumber Co. and as a builder he constructed a home worthy to stand the test of time. A handsome three-story brick and sandstone residence, the J.J. Shaw House is accented throughout with original leaded glass and interesting bay windows. Architectural details reminiscent of the 1900's include the exterior and interior use of columns, decorative moldings and French doors.
