A fine Bavarian Country Inn located in Teton Village, Jackson Hole: Alpenhof Lodge [Visits: 32] 3255 W Village Dr - Teton Village, Wyoming 83025
The 5,800 square-foot home, built in 1995, is entirely composed of huge pine logs, many salvaged from the great Yellowstone fire of 1988. The open, slate entry leads into a massive, three-story living area, the Wyoming Room, that features a floor to ceiling river rock fireplace. Fine English antiques blend delightfully with Zapotec weavings and denim upholstery. The warm and inviting dining room, with hand-painted tables and cheerfully eclectic English/Western decor, is through wide doors to the left of the Wyoming Room. Artfully mismatched china and linens greet guests for breakfast, and a granite-topped bar opening into the gourmet kitchen allows guests to chat with Nell as she bakes muffins prepares the morning entree. [Visits: 247] On the Teton Village Road, PO Box 561 - Jackson Hole, Wyoming 83001
In beautiful, historic Lander, the Blue Spruce Inn is within easy walking distance of downtown and city parks. Built in 1920, it is surrounded by 5 giant blue spruce trees. The large comfortable rooms remind you of a visit to Grandma's house. The front veranda has a porch swing just waiting to be enjoyed. To start your day a sumptuous full breakfast will delight you as you discover some of the recipes collected by your hosts. Sip coffee or tea in the evening on the porch swing or in the sun room at a bistro table.
Throughout the Inn, magnificent oak crown molding and woodwork prevail as outstanding examples of the Arts and Crafts period of the early 20th Century. Stained and beveled glass in windows and in the breakfront of the dining room are also very typical of that era as well as beautiful oak floors laid in a unique design rarely seen.
