Inn at the Park was originally built in 1909 as a private residence for Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus M. Beachy. The home was located at the easternmost turn-around point for the Wichita streetcar line and overlooked the original Wichita Country Club golf course. Mr. Beachy was Chairman of the Board and General Manager of Steffen Dairy and Mrs. Beachy was well know for her collections of fine furniture, glassware, fine art and dolls from around the world. It remained the family residence until 1955. The Pickering House, listed on the National Historic Register, is a 1870's Victorian home located 15 minutes south of Kansas City. Furnished in period Victorian decor, we are the perfect place for a special night away, corporate travel, or weddings, to name a few.
