The Atwood House is an 1894 Neoclassical Georgian Revival mansion located two blocks from Nebraska's capitol.
This unique 7,500-plus square foot home is decorated throughout with Victorian antiques.
You will "experience the elegance" of a three-room suite. The Atwood Suite is Lincoln's most elegant bridal suite. Each of the other suites also has a 19th century three-piece bedroom set and private sitting area for a comfortable place to relax. Each private bath has monogrammed towels, fluffy robes and all of the amenities. [Visits: 378] 740 South 17th Street - Lincoln, Nebraska 68508
One of Lincoln's longtime residential landmarks, the F. M. Hall House was the scene of many society teas and social gatherings in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Designed in the Queen Anne Victorian style, the original house was built in 1884 by Lincoln banker, Richard Outcalt. Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Hall purchased the home in 1894 and under their stewardship the house was expanded several times. Additions included a large wraparound porch on the southeast, a sun porch east of the dining room and a three-story addition on the north that included a large kitchen on the first floor. The Halls also added a brick gazebo with fountain and lily pond and an iron fence around the property.
